Engineering review
Wind Load and EPA Review
Wind review starts with what the pole carries. Height matters, but fixture weight, EPA, bracket reach, site exposure and installation country decide the questions that come next.
Engineering content for project-specific review.

Inputs to send first
Send installation country, target height, fixture model, fixture weight, wind area or EPA, arm reach, pole quantity and mounting method. If the local wind requirement is known, include it in the first message.
When device data is missing, mark it as open. A clear open item is easier to handle than a blank field that looks finished.
What Fortune Light Pole reviews
The review can compare the pole family, shaft shape, arm arrangement, base interface and accessory positions against the information supplied by the buyer. The goal is to make assumptions visible before the quotation is treated as firm.
Wind and EPA discussion is not a substitute for local approval. It is a coordination step that helps the buyer prepare better drawings, fixture data and project notes.
Where mistakes happen
Many RFQs send only height and a product photo. That skips the load path. A small fixture with a short arm and a heavier fixture on a long bracket may both be called a 9 m pole, but they are not the same review.
Another common gap is the maintenance or access plan. Sports lighting, solar equipment and cameras can add devices in places that affect the structure.
RFQ inputs
Use this checklist before asking for a quotation or drawing discussion.
| Required | Location, height, fixture or device data, EPA or wind area, weight and bracket reach. |
|---|---|
| Helpful | Lighting layout, existing foundation notes, site photos and local review requirements. |
| Confirmed later | Final shaft, base plate, anchor bolts, wall thickness and drawing package. |
How to use this page in an RFQ
Copy the table into the enquiry and fill in what is known. Leave the unknown items visible instead of deleting them. That makes the first reply more useful because the supplier can separate confirmed data from assumptions.
If several pole types are included in one project, list them separately. A roadway pole, a solar pole and a camera pole may share the same site, but the load, access and drawing questions are different.
Before final selection
Check the engineering page against the buyer's own project documents before comparing quotations. If a tender drawing, lighting layout or device schedule changes, the pole discussion should be updated before the quotation is treated as firm.
The safest review path is simple: confirm the application, confirm the equipment, then confirm the pole configuration. Skipping that order usually creates extra drawing revisions later.
Next step
Send confirmed data and mark open items clearly. Fortune Light Pole can then discuss the product family, drawings and quotation path with fewer assumptions.
